This was such a fun spring engagement session. The mountains made for a perfect backdrop to this fun couple! Look how sweet they are together!

We had so much fun on this engagement shoot and I think you can tell in the photos. We took so many candid poses like dancing and piggy backs. We took photos in long green grasses of Utah's beautiful mountains overlooking Little Dell reservoir. It was such a lush background and made for the perfect location for these engagement photos. Little Dell is a short drive from downtown SLC and is the perfect place to take spring engagement photos. Utah mountain engagement photos are so fun. Beside little dell there are also big cottonwood canyon and little cottonwood canyon. Right not I am very affordable for engagement photography. It's a great deal and a great value. Big Cottonwood Canyon was a perfect spot for this engaged couple to take their engagement photos. Utah is rad even in the winter as shown by this cute couple! I personally love winter engagement photos. I loved seeing this couple embrace the winter weather. Their outfits are the perfect fit for photos taken in the mountains of Utah. I loved how much fun this engaged couple brought to their engagement shoot. If you are looking for a big cottonwood engagement shoot, here are some things to think about. You will need good hiking shoes to climb for photos. You can slip on your cute shoes for the engagement photos. You need to plan for colder weather during the engagement photos. It can get cold in the canyon during the engagement photo session so you need to make sure to dress for the mountains. Be prepared to hike a little. Consider having your hair and makeup professionally done for the photos. I love helping Utah engaged couples take their engagement photos. Big Cottonwood canyon is a great spot to take any photo. Storm mountain engagement photos are some of my favorite. Storm mountain can get stormy, so you have been warned. Storm mountain and hidden falls are two great locations for engagement photos. I’m a Utah wedding photographer and spring weddings are now booking.  This is a common phrase I hear this time of year, “I want spring looking engagement photos for my spring wedding.”  That’s hard to do in the dead of winter in Utah.  So how do you give your bride the summery engagement photos she is looking for and not have a time machine?  I’m going to give you the solution I came up with for one client.  This client wanted two locations and one of them needed to be outside.  We decided on Cactus and Tropicals for our inside location and we decided a rocky location up Big Cottonwood Canyon.  My thoughts where if she wants greenery then a green house would be the perfect fit and rocks look like rocks year round! 

I love the greenhouse ideas because it’s warm!  So wearing that cute spring dress you imagined is doable.  It will also get you excited for spring being around all those pretty blooming flowers and green plants!  The whole experience feels like love in the springtime!  It is notable the there is a small location fee to some greenhouses.  Talk to me and sometimes I can find ways to discount this price or know inside secrets to deals.  The light in greenhouses is always nice and diffused too!  I truly think it’s one of your best options for faking spring photos in doldrums of winter in Utah.

It will be colder but nature and the landscape of Utah is amazing in photos!  We chose a spot up big cottonwood close to the mouth of the canyon. We didn't want to go up too far, because there would be snow in the photos.  When you are having a springtime wedding, snow in photos isn’t always ideal for your engagement photos.  I think the contrast in the rock is pretty.  The views looking down the canyon also can’t be beat! Making this a great place to take photos for a spring wedding in the dead of winter. Engagement photo problem solved!    

Utah Mountain Bridals Utah Mountain bridals in the wildflowers are always a great choice for any bride and groom.  Utah Mountain bridals are some of my favorites.

Marcus grabbed his sweetheart Kalista and jumped in my old car and we headed up to the Mountians of Utah.  We where on a hunt for wildflowers and our perfect summer evening was starting to gather a few clouds.  We talked on the ride up how they meet.  How he had first thought maybe she was too pretty.  How she first started to talk to him by asking about the book he was reading.  Talked about their plans to more to the west coast after they get married.  The light held for us as we winded up the mountain road.  Nearing the end of the canyon we found a little spot with some yellow wildflowers left.  They both changed quickly and we created some great moments together before the thunderstorm broke out.  We all watched the lightening storm as we drove back into the Salt Lake City.

Utah wildflower photos are some of my favorite locations here in Utah.  This wildflowers found in the mountains of Utah did not disappoint as a photography location.  I wish every bride could do Utah mountain bridals.  These wildflowers are found in Utah in the mountains above Salt Lake City.  This is not Albion Basin, but it is as pretty as Albion Basin.  I do think Albion Basin is a perfect place for wildflower photos.  This place is better because there are not as many photographers as Albion Basin.  Wildflowers grow all over the mountains in Utah.  Taking wedding photos and bridal photos in the mountains is always pretty.  If you are wanting a wildflower mountain location for your bridal or engagement photos let me know.  I would love to photograph you in the wildflowers.  Big cottonwood has pretty wildflowers.  If you want photos taken in Big Cottonwood canyon I think they would be great for your bridal photos.

This year in Utah the wildflowers have been so breathtaking! I wish I could photograph in these everyday! Paige and Ryan are such a fun couple! They are full of life and up for any adventure. We took these photos the first week of August, less than a week ago. So if the wild flowers might be around for a couple more days.
